We are currently looking for an Online Editor to join our talented team here at our Dublin studio. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality onlined, colour graded, finished and mastered episodes within agreed scope and in creative collaboration with Production and Post Production teams.
This is a Fixed-Term, 12-Month contract based in Dublin.
Please note that our studio operates on a hybrid model, with a minimum of two days per week required in the studio.
The successful candidate must have the right to work in Ireland for the duration of the contract.
Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities • Online Editing of full episodes in appropriate finishing software, (e.g., DaVinci Resolve, Autodesk Flame, Flame Assist), ensuring that episodes are delivered on schedule, to the highest of standards and that the Client, Director and Art Director's creative visions are met.
• Working in tandem with an Online Compositor as part of an Online team to finish episodes.
• If leading the Online team, reviewing Compositing work in the timeline before presentation and delivery to ensure standards and continuity.
• Undertaking tasks including: HDR & SDR grading, timeline management, mastering, intermediate-level compositing & FX.
• Conforming episodes from Offline into Online.
• Creating master delivery files for broadcast.
• Exporting files for audio mix, Client approval and QC.
• Managing and clearly organising series elements, templates and projects.
• Backing-up and archiving of work on an ongoing basis.
• Leading on-site attended viewing sessions with Directors and Art Directors.
• Completing workflow and file management before, during and after the Online Edit.
• Providing guidance to the Post team with regards to Online issues.
• Keeping up to date with emerging broadcast technologies, workflows and delivery formats.
• Closely working with and taking instruction from Series Directors and Art Directors.
• Collaborating with the broader Post team in the delivery of departmental goals.
Key Requirements
Key Requirements Knowledge
• Skilled in online finishing, grading compositing, effects.
• Knowledge of video technology, delivery specs and file formats.
• Ability to manage attended viewings.
• An understanding of online finishing & overall post workflows.
Experience
• Experience in online, grading, compositing experience in episodic television and/or 3D animated productions.
• Track record of working effectively with all levels of production crew, artistic staff and management.
Technical Skills
• Online editing in Flame, Resolve or equivalent software.
• Applied use of Shotgrid (desirable).
• Applied use of HDR (desirable).
