Job Description
Online Diagnostic Technician (BH-29159-5)

Location: Kirkby in Ashfield, England. Sector: Automotive. Salary: £42,000.00 to £48,000.00 per annum.

Position Details

Location: Nottingham (office based). Salary: Negotiable depending on experience (between £42,000 £45,000) rising to £55,000.

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:15 am - 5:15 pm (42.5 hours). No weekends.

Our company primarily provides automotive virtual diagnostic & programming services to a customer base across Europe. You will carry out in depth diagnosis, module programming, and key programming, staying current with the latest procedures and technology in the motor trade.

Role Overview
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle issues using the company's diagnostic tools through our remote diagnostic portal.
  • Provide technical support and repair advice to customers and their technicians via chat, mail, or phone.
  • Interpret diagnostic codes and data, and recommend corrective actions to ensure a fix on the first contact.
  • Maintain equipment and software updates, continuously learning new techniques and tools.
  • Work collaboratively with team members, sharing insights and best practices.
  • Maintain accurate records of diagnostic procedures and outcomes.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service quality.
Qualifications
  • NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds qualification, or equivalent highly preferred.
  • Diagnostic Technician or Master Technician from various brands would be highly advantageous.
  • Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electronics, and electrical components of vehicles.
  • Proficient in using automotive diagnostic software and equipment.
  • Strong problem solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as a real team player with a solution oriented approach.
