Job Description

Are you an experienced educator looking for a rewarding opportunity to make a lasting impact on a child's life? Our client based in the charming coastal town of Whitby, North Yorkshire, is seeking a dedicated full-time One-to-One Tutor to join their team on a permanent contract.

In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to work closely with a student, tailoring your teaching approach to their individual needs and learning style. By providing personalised attention and support, you will help your student build confidence, overcome challenges, and unlock their full academic potential.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in education, with a proven track record of helping students achieve their goals. You should be skilled in creating engaging lesson plans, adapting to different learning styles, and fostering a positive and supportive learning environment. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with students and their families are essential.

In return for your expertise and commitment, our client offers a competitive salary of £30-£35 per hour (PAYE), along with the opportunity to work in a supportive and collaborative team environment. Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver personalised lesson plans tailored to the student's needs and learning style
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and updates to families

  • Collaborate with other educators and professionals to ensure a holistic approach to the student's education
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of student progress and achievements

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an educator, with a strong track record of student success
  • Expertise in one or more subject areas, with the ability to teach across multiple disciplines
  • UK based teaching qualification and work experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational and time-management abilities
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of students and their families
  • Valid DBS check and references
