OFFSHORE BROKER - CHARTERING & PROJECTS

DUTCH MARINE CONTRACTORS (DMC) is a specialized and growing maritime company with a strong focus on Commercial Ship Management, Brokerage, and Maritime Projects. We support a wide range of offshore operations, from vessel chartering & contracting to full-service project coordination, and we operate with a pragmatic mindset and sharp commercial focus. To support our continued growth and international ambitions, we are strengthening our commercial team and looking for an OFFSHORE BROKER to run an independent desk and actively contribute to the further growth of our activities.

Your role

As an Offshore Broker, you will take the lead in running your own commercial desk and client portfolio - sourcing, negotiating, and closing charter contracts and S&P deals for offshore support vessels (tugs, heavy lift vessels, workboats, OSV's, barges, etc.), while also coordinating special (dry) transport and project requests.

This role requires close collaboration with charterers, vessel owners and other key stakeholders, supported by our team. It combines hands-on dealmaking with strategic development and offers the opportunity with the potential to strengthen and expand DMC's position in the various markets.

Your key responsibilities

- Manage and grow a personal portfolio of charterers, vessel owners, and S&P clients

- Match client demand with vessel availability (spot, short-term, project-based)

- Build and maintain a global commercial network and strong client relationships

- Monitor the market and proactively pursue new commercial opportunities

- Collaborate with the management on commercial strategy and business development

- Play a leading role in identifying new opportunities in the global offshore market

- Option to hire, mentor and collaborate with junior commercial staff in due course

Your experience and expertise

- Minimum 5 years of experience in offshore chartering and/or shipbroking (spot, project, transport, S&P)

- Entrepreneurial mindset and commercial drive - proactive in identifying and pursuing opportunities

- Proven track record in deals involving OSV's, tugs, barges, and heavy lift vessels

- Solid knowledge of BIMCO TOWCON / TOWHIRE / SUPPLYTIME / SALESFORM / HEAVYCON / HEAVYLIFT

- Familiarity with maritime law, insurance, and contract risk management

- MICS or FICS qualification (or currently working towards it)

- Ambitious, structured, reliable and commercially result-driven

- Fluent in English (Dutch is highly preferred, other languages are a plus)

- Holds an EU work permit
