Contract Type: 35 hours per week
Contract Hours: Permanent full time
Salary Scale: €62,072 - €73,477 per annum. Salary scales are subject to LSI's (Long Service Increments). This pay scale is subject to increases in 2026 in accordance with the recent WRC agreement towards enhanced pay adjustments in Section 39 organisations.
Annual Leave Entitlement: 33 days pro rata per annum
Overview of the PostEnable Ireland delivers children's services through the Children's Disability Network Teams (CDNT) under the national Progressing Disabilities Services (PDS) model for children and young people with complex needs arising from a disability. The post holder will be responsible for the provision of a range of Occupational Therapy services for young people (0-18 years) and their families within an interdisciplinary framework. Service will include assessment and intervention, clinical supervision and ongoing service development. This will be delivered through a family centred approach across a variety of settings including the clinic, preschools, schools, children's homes and community settings.
Duties & ResponsibilitiesProvide Occupational Therapy services to young people (0-18 years) and their families.
Conduct assessment and intervention in multiple settings.
Supervise junior occupational therapists and students.
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and service development.
Qualifications- Registered or eligible for registration on the Occupational Therapists Register maintained by the Occupational Therapists Registration Board at CORU.
- Three years full time (or aggregate) post qualification clinical experience.
- Knowledge and ability for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.
- Proof of Statutory Registration before a contract of employment can be issued.
- Annual registration maintained with CORU.
- Minimum of 1 year post qualification experience working with children with a range of disabilities/developmental delay and their families.
- Experience in conducting assessment of need and needs assessments.
- Experience working with children aged 0-18 and their families.
- Relevant experience prescribing and monitoring equipment based on children's needs.
- Full driving licence with access to own transport.
- Current eligibility to work in the state.
- Post graduate training specific to 0-18 years (e.g., Sensory Integration, Assistive Technology, Upper Limb Management of Tone, Splinting, Feeding, Postural Management).
- Training and experience in assessment and intervention of children with autism.
- Experience supervising basic grade occupational therapists and/or students.
- 2 or more years working in paediatric services with children of varied disabilities and/or complex needs.
