- Position: Occupational Therapist
- Reporting to: Director of Services
- Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time
- Working Week: 40 hours per week (7-hour standard working day)
- Location: Midland Counties (Offaly, Kildare, Laois, Westmeath)
- Salary Scale: €50,000 - €60,000 depending on experience

- Lead the development of the Occupational Therapy (OT) service and establish best practice standards.
- Monitor and report KPIs including waiting lists, caseloads, and MDT input.
- Maintain professional standards based on evidence-based practice.
- Deliver an ethics-driven OT service.
- Provide high-quality services supporting service users' health and wellbeing.
- Maximize service users' active involvement in the development of their care pathway.
- Review OT caseload management to ensure safe and efficient outcomes.
- Stay updated with new developments, skills, and technologies.
- Develop, audit, and review policies and procedures in response to service needs.
- Coordinate training and education for staff involved in OT service delivery.
- Maintain, review, and report on an OT risk register.
- Build strong relationships with external statutory and professional bodies.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external requirements affecting Genesis Healthcare.
- Third-level qualification and CORU registration as an Occupational Therapist.
- Minimum of two years full-time post-qualification clinical experience.
- Full clean driving licence and access to a car.
- Previous health service experience, ideally in the intellectual disability sector.
- Evidence of continuous professional development.
- Working knowledge of HIQA Standards as applied to ID services.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in service evaluation and planning.
- Ability to deliver results through effective collaboration in a complex environment.
- Garda Vetting / Police Clearance required.
