Global Process Owner (GPO) - Order to Cash (O2C)

Role Purpose

My client, a Global Business Services Group, is looking for a Global Process Owner (GPO) for Order-to-Cash (O2C) is accountable for the design, governance, performance, and continuous improvement of the end-to-end O2C process across the business.

Working closely with Finance, Commercial, Operations, Technology, and outsourced BPO partners, the GPO will drive process standardisation, automation, operational excellence, and working capital performance, ensuring scalable and customer-centric processes that support business growth.

Key ResponsibilitiesProcess Ownership
  • Own and govern the global O2C process, including customer onboarding, billing, collections, cash application, credit management, and dispute resolution.
  • Define global standards, controls, policies, and KPIs.
  • Drive process consistency across regions and business units.
BPO & Service Delivery Management
  • Lead the relationship with outsourced O2C service providers.
  • Manage service performance against agreed SLAs and KPIs.
  • Drive accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence across delivery teams.
Transformation & Continuous Improvement
  • Identify and deliver opportunities for automation, simplification, and process optimisation.
  • Lead O2C transformation initiatives, supporting ERP and finance transformation programmes.
  • Champion best practice and innovation across the process landscape.
Stakeholder Engagement
  • Partner with Finance, Sales, Commercial Operations, Customer Success, Legal, and Technology teams.
  • Influence senior stakeholders to drive process improvements and business outcomes.
  • Act as the global point of accountability for O2C process performance.
Performance & Controls
  • Monitor and improve key metrics including DSO, collections effectiveness, billing accuracy, cash application, and dispute resolution.
  • Ensure robust controls, compliance, and data integrity across the O2C process.
Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience leading global Order-to-Cash processes within a complex, international organisation.
  • Strong BPO/vendor management experience.
  • Track record of delivering process transformation, automation, and operational improvement.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Experience working with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Experience within media, technology, SaaS, or subscription-based businesses is advantageous.
Success Measures
  • Improved cash collection and working capital performance.
  • Delivery of O2C standardisation and automation initiatives.
  • Strong BPO performance against SLAs and KPIs.
  • Reduced process inefficiencies and customer disputes.
  • Enhanced control environment and operational performance.
