Job Description

Role: Team Leader (room-based) 0-1 year olds.

Location: Edwinstowe Day Nursery Cambridge CB2 7EB.

Contract: Fixed term for 9 months 37.5-40 hours/week 52 weeks/year.

Working pattern: Varied shifts Monday Friday between 07 15.

Salary: £37,044.80 £37,793.60 per annum (pro rata) £17.81 £18.17 per hour.

About you

You are a qualified early years professional: you hold a DfE approved early years qualification at level3 or above and have been working in an early years environment for the last couple of years or more.

Key responsibilities
  • Create learning opportunities: Plan and implement high quality, engaging activities that promote learning through play, and observe, assess, and record children's progress.
  • Advocate for safeguarding: Ensure every child feels safe, valued, and happy, and promote their well being.
  • Collaborate as a leader: Work in partnership with others, communicate effectively, build strong relationships, and empower your team to deliver outstanding care and achieve their full potential.
Qualifications and skills
  • DfE approved early years qualification (level3 or above).
  • Minimum of two years working experience in an early years environment.
  • Knowledge of the EYFS framework.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and people management skills.
