Nursery Teacher

Are you a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Teacher looking for a full-time role? A welcoming and supportive First School in Bromsgrove is seeking a confident Nursery Teacher to join their team full-time from September until Christmas initially, with the potential for the role to continue beyond the initial contract.

This role is ideal for a passionate Nursery Teacher who can confidently plan and deliver engaging early years learning opportunities, maintain a nurturing environment, and support children through this important stage of their development. The successful candidate will work with the school's 3-4 year olds and will be supported by three experienced Teaching Assistants within the classroom.

As a Nursery Teacher, you will take full responsibility for planning, assessment, and delivering high-quality Early Years provision, creating a stimulating and inclusive environment where children can develop socially, emotionally, and academically.

Responsibilities

• Planning and delivering engaging activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Framework.
• Taking full class teaching responsibility for a Nursery class of 3-4 year olds.
• Creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment.
• Observing, assessing, and tracking children's progress and development.
• Working closely with three Teaching Assistants to support learning and development across the class.
• Encouraging children's communication, language, social, and emotional development.
• Building positive relationships with parents, carers, and colleagues.
• Attending staff meetings and working collaboratively with teaching staff, support staff, and senior leaders.
• Supporting children's wellbeing and helping them develop confidence and independence.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent Early Years teaching qualification.
• Previous experience teaching within Nursery or the Early Years Foundation Stage.
• A strong understanding of the EYFS Framework and child development.
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
• A nurturing, patient, and professional approach.
• The ability to create engaging and developmentally appropriate learning experiences.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• The ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and staff.
