Nursery Teacher

Hays Education is working in partnership with a warm, nurturing primary school in the Bloxwich area to recruit an experienced Nursery Teacher to cover maternity leave from September 2026 until February 2027.This school is deeply committed to providing a caring and inclusive early year's environment where every child feels safe, valued, and supported. Rooted in a strong values based ethos, the school places great emphasis on kindness, respect, and developing the whole child academically, socially, and emotionally. Staff work closely together to foster positive relationships and give children the best possible start to their education.

The Role:

• Deliver high quality early years teaching in line with the EYFS framework
• Create a stimulating, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
• Plan and deliver engaging activities that support children's development across all areas of learning.
• Observe, assess, and track progress to inform next steps in learning.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents, and carers
• Attend and contribute to parents' evenings, meetings, and school events
• Work collaboratively with support staff and senior leaders
• Promote and uphold the school's strong values and ethos on a daily basis

The Successful Candidate Will Have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) (essential)
• Proven experience teaching within the Early Years Foundation Stage
• Strong knowledge of early childhood development and assessment
• A caring, patient, and flexible approach to teaching
• Excellent communication and team working skills
