Nursery Practitioner, Shoreham-by-Sea, Up to £17.50 per Hour Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to join friendly and supportive nursery teams across Shoreham-by-Sea and the surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Early Years professional to provide high-quality care and education to children in a nurturing, stimulating and supportive environment.

As a caring, enthusiastic and energetic individual, you will play a vital role in supporting children to learn, grow and thrive, making a meaningful difference to their early years development.

Key Responsibilities

As a Level 3 Early Years Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education to children while working closely with the nursery team to create a safe, stimulating and engaging learning environment.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering age-appropriate activities
  • Supporting children's learning and development
  • Observing and recording children's progress
  • Building positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues
  • Maintaining a safe, healthy and welcoming environment
  • Following safeguarding and nursery policies and procedures
  • Supporting children's individual learning and development needs
  • Encouraging children to develop their confidence, independence and social skills
  • Working as part of a supportive and professional nursery team
Required Skills & Experience

To be successful in this Nursery Practitioner role in Shoreham-by-Sea, you will need:

  • Previous nursery or Early Years experience
  • A Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent
  • A genuine passion for working with children
  • A caring, patient and positive approach
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • The ability to create a fun, engaging and supportive environment
  • A good understanding of children's learning and development
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare
  • The ability to build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues
