Job overviewTo work as a member of the Nursery Nurse team in supporting the provision of high standard holistic care to mothers and babies. The responsibility to participate in the assessment of care needs and the implementation of programmed care of the neonate.
Main duties of the job1. Welcome and provide support to babies, their parents and families.
2. Provide a suitable environment for the welfare of the baby and family, taking into consideration cultural and religious needs.
3. Participate in the organisation and delivery of patient care services in such a manner as to contribute to maintain the highest standards of care.

Person specification EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING- NNEB Certificate
- Evidence of post-registration development
- Good communication - verbal and non-verbal, including written skills
- Able to work under pressure and to deadlines
- Able to take and record observations and elevate appropriately
- Previous experience of working in a healthcare environment.
- Willing to work in other areas of the Trust or Trust-wide as and when required to do so.
- Ability to communicate and function effectively with all members of multi-disciplinary team
- Ability to show sensitive, flexible approach towards babies and families
- Organised approach to work, ability to prioritise
- Ability to use initiative appropriately
- Able to work internal rotation
- Maintains high level of confidentiality
- Knowledge of BFI initiatives
- Knowledge of Child Protection Procedures
