Job Title: Nursery Class Teacher/ Lead
- Contract type: Permanent
- Salary: £40,391 - £57,018 (MPS/UPS) (TLR £5,632)
- Location: Kensington
It is expected that the successful candidate will be able to raise the standards of attainment of the pupils in their class and ensure that planning, preparation, recording, assessment and reporting meet their varying learning and social needs, as well maintaining the positive ethos and core values of the school, both inside and outside the classroom. The core purpose of this role is to be an outstanding and confident classroom practitioner who is able to demonstrate the very highest standards of teaching. Key Responsibilities- Promote the progress and attainment of all pupils.
- Assist in tracking student progress and identify positive intervention methods to increase attainment.
- Actively contribute to the teaching of all pupils.
- Deliver quality daily phonics lessons.
- Remain informed of current developments in the subject area, participate in INSET and initiate change where appropriate.
- Demonstrate good knowledge of a wide range of teaching methods and implement them in the classroom.
- Pupil assessment.
- Evaluate the impact of your work through data analysis, questionnaires, monitoring visits, etc.
- Possess excellent ICT skills and use these as a tool in the classroom.
- Provide accurate information for parents as directed by the school and attend parents' evenings and other presentation meetings as directed.
- Maintain an organised and effective learning environment in the classroom and shared areas.
- Take responsibility for own professional development in discussion with the Headteacher.
- Undertake any duties reasonably required by the Headteacher.
- Help create a strong community, characterised by consistent, orderly behaviour and caring.
