It represents a center of excellence, not only in Switzerland but also in Europe in several fields and specialties. The Orthopedic Surgery and Musculoskeletal Service is responsible for the surgical and orthopedic care of both children and adults. It also manages patients suffering from surgical conditions of the hand, foot, spine, and general orthopedics. By joining the Orthopedic Surgery and Musculoskeletal Service, you will intervene in urgent and hospital pathways. Your activity primarily focuses on the plaster room, within a unit fully dedicated to gypsum therapy and recognized for its high level of care. You will be part of a specialized team in the care of patients presenting orthopedic or musculoskeletal conditions. You perform daily plastering, resin, or other types of casts, as well as personalized splints, for a diverse patient population and in clinics of varying complexity. You thrive in an environment where clinical analysis, technical skill, and interprofessional collaboration play a pivotal role in your journey. You will develop advanced expertise recognized in a reference center. Your role goes far beyond the simple application of devices: you analyze orthopedic situations and propose management strategies and work closely with surgeons. In your daily tasks, you rely on solid knowledge of the musculoskeletal system to guide your decisions and propose the most appropriate interventions. You are proactive, able to manage unexpected situations, prioritize effectively, and maintain a professional stance in interactions with team members. Your ease allows you to collaborate harmoniously with a multidisciplinary health team, including physicians, nursing staff, and assistants in health and community care. You ensure that precise, complete, and structured information is transmitted, promoting optimal multidisciplinary care. You also contribute to the training of new nursing staff as well as other health professionals, while participating in various internal projects. Experience or training in gypsum therapy is a plus; your capacity to develop rare expertise and your desire to expand your skills are equally important. You are comfortable with manual work and possess good dexterity. You are capable of performing handling tasks and adopting momentarily demanding physical positions necessary for patient care. You fully master the French language, both spoken and written, and demonstrate excellent communication skills.
