A growing specialist engineering consultancy (working across maritime, defence, nuclear and other high-hazard sectors) is expanding its nuclear safety capability and is hiring Nuclear Safety Engineers across a range of experience levels.

Level of appointment and responsibilities will be matched to your background, development goals and ability to lead/support client delivery.

What you'll be doing

  • Managing defined work packages (scope/quality/programme) aligned to experience
  • Keeping current with nuclear safety management, life cycle processes and (where relevant) UK defence procurement requirements
  • Contributing to team capability growth and (at senior levels) supporting others' development

What we're looking for

  • Experience in nuclear safety, safety case development, regulatory/assurance, or a closely related discipline (transferable backgrounds welcomed)
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks/governance/standards from nuclear, defence, maritime, or other high-hazard environments
  • Strong written and verbal communication (able to explain technical/regulatory topics to mixed audiences)
  • Comfortable working in multidisciplinary teams and adapting to changing project/regulatory needs
  • Relevant technical qualification (engineering or similar) or equivalent demonstrable experience
  • UK nationality and ability to meet SC clearance criteria (UK National Security Vetting)

Package

  • 25 days annual leave (rising to 30 over long service)
  • Pension matched up to 10%
  • Private healthcare
  • Support for professional development/registration
  • Company + individual performance bonus
  • Hybrid working (subject to project/client needs)
