NPPV3 Network Engineer - 3 months - Midlands

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer with active NPPV3 clearance to support a secure public-sector network environment. The engineer will assist with network operations, troubleshooting, and project delivery across enterprise network infrastructure.

This role will involve working within a secure environment supporting high-availability networks used by policing or law enforcement partners, ensuring reliability, security, and compliance with government standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support and maintain enterprise network infrastructure across LAN, WAN, and data centre environments
• Implement and troubleshoot routing, switching, and Firewall configurations
• Perform incident response and root cause analysis for network issues
• Support network upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure changes
• Work within secure policing environments adhering to NPPV security requirements
• Document network designs, procedures, and operational changes
• Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and application teams
• Participate in change management processes (ITIL aligned)

Required Skills & Experience:

• Active NPPV3 clearance
• Strong experience with Cisco networking technologies
• Expertise in routing and switching protocols (OSPF, BGP, VLANs, STP)
• Experience supporting enterprise LAN/WAN environments
• Strong troubleshooting skills in complex network environments
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools
• Experience with Firewalls (Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, Fortinet or similar)
• Understanding of network security principles

Desirable Skills:

• Experience working within policing, law enforcement, or secure government environments
• Knowledge of Cisco ISE/NAC
• Experience with SD-WAN technologies
• Exposure to cloud networking (Azure/AWS)
• Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP or equivalent

Contract Details:

• Duration: 3 months
• Day Rate: £400 Per Day - £450 Per Day
• Location: Onsite in the Midlands
• Start Date: ASAP
