NNDR Inspector

Salary: £20,814 - £24,486

Location: North Somerset

Contract: Permanent, Full-Time (37 hours per week)

Venn Group is currently recruiting for a Visiting Officer (Business Rates) on behalf of a local authority client in North Somerset. This role focuses on carrying out inspections of business premises to support the delivery of Business Rates (NNDR) services.

You will be responsible for gathering and verifying information, producing detailed reports, and building strong relationships with local businesses while supporting accurate data collection for the council.

• Carry out NNDR inspection visits across the district
• Provide advice on discounts, exemptions, and business rates matters
• Support businesses with applications and changes
• Gather and verify evidence during visits
• Deliver notifications and completion notices
• Produce clear and accurate inspection reports
• Support general revenues processing activities
• Assist with relief reviews and new developments
• Maintain effective relationships with local businesses

The successful candidate must have previously worked in a Business Rates role.
