Night shift Warehouse Picker

Job Title: Night shift Warehouse Pickers Location: Thatcham RG19 Pay Rate: £14.52 rising to £16.72 per hour Contract: Temporary ongoing with permanent opportunities available

gap personnel are recruiting for 47 Warehouse Pickers for the company in Thatcham.

The company is leading FMCG site, closely working with M&S, whose mission is to bring the magic of M&S Food to their millions of customers - whenever, wherever, and however they want to shop with them.

As a warehouse picker you will assist with the warehousing department as they look to pick and load the stock ready for distribution throughout the UK.

For those that can demonstrate a strong work ethic, and a commitment to the working hours there are permanent opportunities available.

Main Duties as a Warehouse Picker:

• Picking of singular and multiple items using voice headsets
• Ensuring items are picked as per client pick sheet
• Items checked for damage and defects and issues reported
• Stock replenishment when needed
• All other adhoc warehouse duties

Working Hours:

Start shift 6pm ( during busy time shift may be starting 4pm )

• Any days out of 7 , start time 6pm - finish time depending on volume of the orders, may finish at 10pm/11pm/midday/1m or 2am or when SLA is picked and packed - please note finish time may be flexi, minimum of 4 hours of work is required
• During peak time, especially in between October and January, shift may last up to 12 hours and will finish at 6am
• Finish time is flexible but must be kept to regular finish times every time

Hourly Pay Rates

• Basic Rate - £14.52p/h - this is rising up to £16.72p/h after completion of 13 weeks.
• Overtime £15.70 p/h, after 13 weeks OT paid £18.06 p/h - weekend Saturday and Sunday is paid at the same higher rate also

Successful candidates will have experience working in similar role, must be good speaking English as commands for picking items are delivered through headset. As part of the selection process, inductions will be held on site in line with their health and safety policies.
