Night Replenishment, Supermarket Assistant

About the Role

As a Supermarket Assistant, you will help our difference be felt by customers on every visit, providing the Partner led service and passion for food that our competitors cannot match. Your drive to go the extra mile will shape the impression our customers have of the Waitrose brand and keep them returning again and again, earning their trust and loyalty for a lifetime. Night Premium (£3.75 per hour) applies to any time worked between 22:00 and 06:00. Applicants must be 18years or over.

Key Responsibilities

• Stock replenishment - keep shelves full and items in the right place at the right time.
• Fulfil online customer orders for drivers.
• Reduce wastage by following product due diligence and markdowns for items approaching sell by dates.
• Support the wider shop team - checkout support, managing Click & Collect orders, fulfilling on demand orders, and other tasks as needed.
• Maintain a safe and tidy working environment with general shop keeping tasks.

Essential skills/experience

• Excellent communication skills to work effectively as part of a team and with customers.

Desirable skills/experience

• Experience of working in a customer facing role.
• Up to date knowledge and strong interest in food and drink trends.
• Flexible approach to support the whole branch.

Remuneration & Working Hours

Pay: £13.00 (after 90 days £13.25).

Contract type: Temporary.

Hours of work: 36 hours per week across seven days, including weekends, between 21:00 and 08:00.
