Job Description
Overview

As a Supermarket Assistant, you will help ensure a memorable customer experience by delivering partner-led service and a passion for food. Your effort will shape customers' impressions of the Waitrose brand and help build trust and loyalty.

Night premium applies to any time worked between 22:00 and 06:00 at a rate of £3.75 per hour, including for existing Partners enrolled onto Enhanced Hours Premium arrangements. Due to working time regulations, applicants must be 18 years or over to apply.

Key Responsibilities
  • Stock replenishment - ensuring shelves are full and products are in the right place at the right time for customers.
  • Fulfilling online customer orders ready for our drivers to deliver.
  • Reducing wastage by following product due diligence and applying markdowns to items nearing their sell-by dates.
  • Supporting the wider shop team as needed, including checkout support, managing Click & Collect orders, and fulfilling on-demand customer orders.
  • Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment with general shopkeeping tasks.
Essential skills/experience
  • Communication skills to work effectively as part of a team and with customers.
Desirable skills/experience
  • Experience in a customer-facing role is welcomed.
  • Up-to-date knowledge and strong interest in food and drink trends.
  • Flexible approach to support the whole branch.
Role Details
  • Pay: £13.00 per hour (£13.25 after 90 days).
  • Contract Type: Permanent
  • Hours of Work: 37 hours per week, including Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, between 21:00 and 07:00.
  • Job Level: Partnership Level 10
  • Location: Keynsham (Waitrose & Partners), Broadmead Lane, Keynsham, Somerset, BS31 1ST
