Supermarket Assistant - Role Overview

As a Supermarket Assistant, you play a key part in delivering partner led service and a passion for food that sets our store apart. Your dedication goes beyond routine tasks, creating a welcoming environment that earns customer trust and encourages repeat visits. Applicants must be 18 years or older.

Key Responsibilities

• Stock replenishment - maintain full shelves and ensure products are in the right place at the right time.
• Fulfill online customer orders, preparing them for delivery by drivers.
• Reduce wastage by managing due diligence on products approaching sell by dates and applying appropriate markdowns.
• Support the shop team - provide checkout assistance, manage Click & Collect orders, and handle on demand customer requests.
• Maintain a safe and tidy working environment through general shopkeeping duties.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Strong communication skills to work effectively with customers and teammates.

Desirable Skills & Experience

• Previous experience in a customer facing role.
• Current knowledge of food and drink trends, and a keen interest in the sector.
• Flexible approach that supports the needs of the entire branch.

Compensation & Details

Pay: £13.00 per hour (£13.25 after 90 days). 22:00-06:00 hours attract a night premium of £3.75 per hour, also applicable to existing partners under Enhanced Hours Premium.
