The Role

As a Newly Qualified Solicitor, you will become a vital member of the established insurance litigation team, representing insurers and insured parties across various defendant claims. You will gain hands-on experience in managing files, supporting complex cases, and developing your legal skills in a collaborative setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in defending personal injury claims, including motor, employers' liability, and public liability matters.
• Support senior solicitors on higher-value and complex litigation such as industrial disease and catastrophic injury claims.
• Draft pleadings, correspondence, and reports for insurer clients, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
• Contribute to investigations covering liability, quantum (damages), and coverage issues.
• Liaise effectively with insurer clients, counsel, expert witnesses, and other third parties to progress cases.
• Attend court hearings, client meetings, and conferences, with opportunities for advocacy as your experience develops.
• Enhance your technical knowledge of insurance law, litigation procedures, and claims management.

Candidate Profile

• Qualified solicitor (NQ) in Northern Ireland, or due to qualify imminently.
• Demonstrable interest in insurance litigation or defendant personal injury work.
• Excellent communication skills-both written and verbal.
• Well-organized, proactive, and deadline-driven with strong attention to detail.
• Eager to learn and develop within a supportive team environment.
• Comfortable working independently and collaboratively.
