Overview

New Business Lead (UK) - Tickets for Good

Location: Hybrid. Location dependent - 2 days in Sheffield office for those who can travel. We also have a quarterly full team get together and it is desirable that you join these. Essential equipment will be made available to allow for working from home.

Reports to: Senior Ticketing Manager

Responsibilities
  • Identify and pursue new 'tickets in' business opportunities through proactive outreach, networking, and industry research.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of potential clients, ensuring consistent follow-ups to convert leads into long-term partnerships.
  • Support existing strategic partnerships to find new leads and opportunities for growth.
  • Develop tailored proposals and pitches to secure new business and meet revenue targets.
  • Negotiate and close deals that align with company objectives and long-term client value.
  • Strategic Planning & Market Research
    • Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, competitor strategies, and emerging opportunities.
    • Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement strategies that drive growth and market expansion.
    • Stay updated on industry developments and leverage insights to enhance business acquisition strategies.
    • Collaborate with marketing and community partnership teams to utilise internal knowledge of our existing and growing member bases to develop event partnerships in key areas across the UK, to have a joined up approach to growth.
  • Collaboration & Internal Coordination
    • Work cross-functionally with marketing, customer service and ticketing operations teams to streamline the business development process.
    • Utilise existing organisational and client management systems to track sales activities, client interactions, and business performance metrics.
    • Act as the point of contact during annual leave and sickness of other team members, including occasional deputising for the Senior Ticketing Manager.
  • Event & Networking Engagement
    • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to establish partnerships.
    • Build a strong professional network to drive referrals and business opportunities.
    • Present at meetings, pitches, and company-sponsored events to showcase business offerings.
  • Client Relationship Management
    • Establish and nurture relationships with existing clients to drive engagement and retention.
    • Act as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and repeat business.
    • Coordinate and nurture client handovers with the Client Account Executives to ensure a seamless transition and identify potential growth opportunities together.
  • Operational Support & Administration
    • Lead any administration required to assist with new business leads and deals, including providing the ticketing operations team with accurate and detailed information to ensure our members have a full understanding of the partner's event.
    • Address client inquiries, support customer service teams, and ensure a high standard of client experience.
    • Contribute to regular reports on business development progress, sales forecasts, and key performance metrics.
What We're Looking For
  • Someone proactive & target-driven, who is self-motivated with a strong drive to identify and secure new business opportunities.
  • A strong communicator. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage with clients, pitch ideas, and build relationships.
  • Confidence in networking, fostering partnerships, and maintaining long-term client engagement.
  • An ability to analyse market trends, identify growth opportunities, and develop effective business strategies.
  • Comfortable with sales processes, negotiation, and closing deals to meet and exceed targets.
  • Strong time management skills and an ability to handle multiple projects and client accounts simultaneously.
  • Experience using CRM systems (Salesforce would be a bonus), as well as Notion, and proficiency in business tools like Excel, Canva, PowerPoint, or Google Suite.
  • Someone who works collaboratively with internal teams.
  • An eagerness to learn, develop, and contribute to the success of the company's business development efforts.
  • A willingness and ability to travel when required on an ad-hoc basis to events and meetings.

Education & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent is desirable but not essential. Must have a minimum of 5 GCSEs A-C including both Maths and English.

Experience

Previous work experience within an SME or startup environment is beneficial, as is experience in a target-driven sales role.
