Role Overview:

The Networking and Events Manager will be responsible for sourcing, developing, and maintaining relationships with strategic partners within the UK, including university societies, community groups, children's afterschool clubs such as scouts/brownies, businesses, and other organizations aligned with our mission and values. They will manage a team of events professionals, leading our events, volunteer, and relationships strategy. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to build and nurture relationships, identify opportunities, and support long-term sustainability.

Responsibilities include:

• Identify, research, and secure new collaboration opportunities with university societies, community groups, scout and brownie groups, small businesses, and other potential partners within the UK to fundraise for Muslim Hands.
• Cultivate and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with current and prospective networks. Provide regular communication to ensure satisfaction and engagement.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement a networking strategy aligned with fundraising goals.
• Serve as the main point of contact for partners, addressing inquiries and troubleshooting issues.
• Assist in organising events, workshops, or campaigns.
• Track performance of activities, ensuring goals are met, and provide regular reports.
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure relationships align with Muslim Hands' objectives.
• Lead on events strategy to represent Muslim Hands at core events and organise fundraising activities like dinners and walks. Manage a team of events professionals supporting these events.

Minimum requirements:

• Right to work in the UK
• DBS Certificate or willingness to obtain one
• Declaration of conflicts of interest
• Degree level education or higher
• Experience in managing charity partnerships and fundraising events
• Team leadership experience
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Strong writing abilities and IT proficiency, especially in Microsoft Office
• Experience in strategic marketing and advertising
• Flexible approach and high social skills
• Comfortable presenting to senior leaders and large groups
• Knowledge of fundraising in an Islamic charity context preferred
• Experience with task management software
• Understanding of Islamic values and practices
• Awareness of Health and Safety principles
