Network Test Engineer needed with active SC Security Clearance. This is a 6-month contract based in Newbury with hybrid working arrangements.

The role requires specific experience in Network Infrastructure testing, including Cisco Switches, Routers, Firewalls, RFC 2544 testing, and Network Connectivity testing.

Opportunity to work with a global IT services consultancy on a large-scale Network Infrastructure program for a telecoms end-client.

Working arrangements include typically 1 day/week in the office and 4 days/week remote work, with occasional travel to sites such as Farnborough, Bath, Oxford, Warwick, and Birmingham.

Key Responsibilities and Requirements

• Support a Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) network connectivity transformation program.
• Create test scripts from Test Plans and Low Level Designs for network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and firewalls.
• Configure Cisco Switch/Router console commands, set up network test equipment for RFC 2544 testing, and handle fibre optic cabling.
• Manage test cases, document test execution, collect evidence, and report results and defects in ALM.
• Utilize StableNet Network and Service Management tools.
• Interpret network infrastructure designs from HLD/LLD and understand Data Centre operating procedures.
• Experience in Telecoms or National Network Infrastructure domains is preferred.
