We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer to join a global network operations environment, supporting network life cycle management, upgrades and day-to-day operations across a large international estate of manufacturing plants and distribution centres.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong enterprise networking Experience across Cisco LAN, wireless infrastructure and Firewalls, who is comfortable delivering upgrades and changes within live, business-critical environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Support network life cycle, upgrade and operational activities across global sites.
• Upgrade and maintain Cisco Catalyst 9000 Switches, access points and wireless controllers.
• Carry out Cisco IOS XE software upgrades and network changes while minimising disruption.
• Troubleshoot network incidents and maintain network availability and performance.
• Manage Firewall requests, policy updates and upgrades across Check Point and Palo Alto environments.
• Support change planning, testing, implementation and post-change validation.
• Work closely with infrastructure, security and operations teams and maintain clear technical documentation.

Essential Experience

• 7+ years' Experience in Network Engineering.
• Strong enterprise Cisco LAN and wireless Experience .
• Hands-on Experience with Cisco Catalyst 9000 series Switches, access points and wireless controllers.
• Strong knowledge of Cisco IOS XE, switching, VLANs, routing and network troubleshooting.
• Experience delivering switch software/hardware refreshes and wireless controller upgrades.
• Experience with Check Point R80/R81 Firewalls, including requests, upgrades and policy changes.
• Experience delivering network changes within live, business-critical environments.

Desirable

• Palo Alto Firewall Experience and/or certification.
• Cisco Catalyst Center/DNA Center and Cisco Prime.
• Experience with ServiceNow, LogicMonitor or NetBrain.
• Experience within manufacturing, pharmaceutical or other regulated environments.
• CCNA, CCNP, PCNSA, PCNSE or relevant Check Point certifications.

Contract Details

• 12-month rolling contract with potential for long-term engagement.
• Dublin-based hybrid role with 4 days per week on-site.
• Candidates must be eligible to work in Ireland with a Stamp 1G or Stamp 4.
