Network Engineer

Job Description:

We are currently looking for a Medior Network Engineer to join our team for a hybrid position based in Brussels. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in enterprise network environments and is proficient in Cisco ACI, Citrix NetScaler, and Palo Alto firewalls.

This is a contract role requiring 1 day per week onsite in Brussels, with the rest of the week working remotely. The assignment starts no later than July 1st and runs until the end of the year (160 man-days), with a possibility for extension in 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain, configure, and support Cisco ACI infrastructure
• Manage and optimize load balancing solutions using Citrix NetScaler
• Administer and secure network perimeters with Palo Alto firewalls
• Troubleshoot and resolve network-related incidents and problems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for network-related projects and changes
• Ensure high availability and performance of network systems
• Document configurations, changes, and procedures accurately

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of relevant experience as a Network Engineer
• Strong expertise in Cisco ACI
• Proven experience with Citrix NetScaler (load balancing)
• Solid knowledge of Palo Alto firewalls
• Fluent in Dutch (written and spoken)
• Strong troubleshooting skills and a proactive mindset
• Ability to work independently and communicate clearly with remote teams
