Network Engineer - Netherlands - 10+ months - Hybrid- EU

Our client is a major multinational operating large-scale production environments across Europe. They are expanding their infrastructure capability and are seeking a Network Engineer experienced in both enterprise networking and industrial manufacturing settings.

As a Network Engineer, you will lead life cycle, deployment, and discovery projects across production facilities, with a strong focus on Cisco Catalyst 9000 switching and Cisco Industrial Ethernet integration.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and migrate Cisco Catalyst 9000 platforms across multiple sites.
• Execute physical installation tasks including racking, patching, and labelling.
• Govern STP and core L2/L3 parameters to maintain network stability in production environments.
• Configure and deploy Cisco Industrial Ethernet hardware within OT zones.
• Conduct full-site logical and physical network audits for 2027 life cycle planning.
• Produce high-quality Visio diagrams and forecast hardware requirements (BoM, SFPs, cabling).

Required Skills

• Expertise with Cisco Catalyst 9000 and experience with Cisco Industrial Ethernet.
• Strong L2/L3 networking (STP, LACP, VLANs, VRFs) including industrial protocols.
• Ability to document complex As-Built and Future designs in Visio.
• Background in hardware auditing and building accurate Bills of Materials.
• Comfortable working independently in live production environments.
• Experience in Manufacturing domain
• Candidate must be based in the EU and hold EU Passport.
