Position: Network Engineer - mandarin speaking

Established in 2000, my client has steadily expanded to meet the evolving demands of our global customer base. With 14 offices worldwide and 10 research and development hubs across different continents, we operate with a singular objective - to furnish internet users worldwide with the swiftest and most secure digital experiences possible.

Our clientele spans from Fortune 500 corporations to small and medium-sized businesses, all of whom reap the benefits of our extensive range of offerings. These include but are not limited to web performance enhancement, media delivery, enterprise application support, cloud security provisions, and colocation services, all of which are utilized by our customers on a daily basis.

Responsibilities:

  1. Network Operations:

    • Troubleshoot and administer BGP and IGP networks, addressing device, network, and traffic issues.
    • Manage day-to-day operations in the EMEA region and collaborate with teams globally.
    • Coordinate with ISPs and IDCs to optimize network efficiency.
  2. Planning and Project Management:

    • Lead key network improvement projects, including POP builds and new product support.
    • Establish and refine global standards, policies, and procedures for reliable operations.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
  • Experience: 3-8 years administering large-scale, distributed service networks, preferably in revenue-generating environments.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Extensive hands-on experience with BGP network configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting across multiple locations.
    • Proficient in Internet protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, VPN) and Ethernet troubleshooting tools (Wireshark, tcpdump).
    • Strong understanding of layer 3 routing (e.g., OSPF) and layer 2 switching (e.g., VLAN, spanning tree).
    • Familiarity with enterprise networking tools (e.g., Splunk) and cloud services processes.
  • Traits:
    • Detail-oriented, process-focused, and inquisitive.
    • Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
    • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and teamwork skills.

This role demands a blend of technical proficiency, project management acumen, and effective collaboration abilities to ensure the stability and optimization of a global network infrastructure.
