Network Engineer - Divison Demand

Opticore IT is currently seeking a Network Engineer operating at a CCNP level with strong general routing and switching knowledge to join our team. You will be based in the London area and become part of our expanding team.

Opticore IT is a rapidly growing specialist Network Engineer and Project Management consultancy, offering diverse opportunities across sectors such as Finance, Broadcast Media, Telecommunications, and more.

You will join our existing team working with our Broadcast Media client on multiple project streams. This role offers a hybrid working model with a minimum of 2 days in the office per week.

What you'll be doing:

• Supporting internal clients, developing solutions, and resolving issues.
• Providing engineering services to our clients' technology teams.
• Assisting with strategy and architectural decision-making.
• Providing technical expertise for network design authority as needed.
• Identifying potential issues or risks within the network, escalating for discussion, and planning/remediating as necessary.
• Ensuring best practice design standards are adopted across the network estate and highlighting areas for improvement.

What you'll bring:

• Strong knowledge of switching and routing, including familiarity with various routing protocols, with specific experience in BGP.
• Industry experience in the network space.
• Education and certifications equivalent to CCNP.
• Security knowledge, including firewalling (Palo Alto, Checkpoint, Cisco ASA, Fortinet) and authentication services like Cisco ISE.
