Our client, a leading global supplier for IT services, requires Network Architect to be based at their client's office in Coventry, UK.

This is a hybrid role - you can work remotely in the UK and attend the Coventry office 3 days per week .

This is a 6+ month temporary contract to start ASAP

Day rate: Competitive Market rate

The Network Security Architect will consider the HD architecture and the culture of the organisation along with the operating model and factor this into their solution selection and design. They will challenge themselves to strive to find the right solution and not deliver the textbook happy-path solution.

The Network Security Architect will look at the wider network security roadmap and network roadmap and look at how their solution sits within that wider architecture challenging the need and the approach taken for their solution looking for efficiencies with wider changes to consolidate technology platforms, to consolidate delivery, to reorder delivery etc.

Key Responsibilities

• Support internal Security Strategy & Architecture team by contributing to delivery programmes.
• Assess whether to deploy NAC as a standalone platform or consolidate with Universal ZTNA for strategic alignment.
• Evaluate need for NAC in corporate environments given existing Segmentation and ZTNA capabilities.
• Explore tooling to support micro-segmentation and data flow mapping across hybrid cloud, on-prem, and IT/OT environments.
• Provide input into SASE/SSE consolidation strategy, considering existing deployments (CAB, SWG) and SD-WAN delivery constraints.
• Address SASE-related security risks and find opportunities to leverage SD-WAN rollout to enhance Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA).
• Create solution options, high- and low-level designs, and present at design authorities.
• Offer guidance to delivery teams and ensure implementation aligns with approved designs.

Key Requirements

• Understand network architecture and tools
• Knowledge of hybrid cloud networks (On-Prem and Multi Cloud)
• Knowledge of OT networks
• Experience of designing macro and micro segmentation for both on-premise and cloud networks
• Experience of designing Network Access Control solutions
• Experience of designing zero trust network access (ZTNA) services for both external and internal access
• Experience of Experience of next generation Firewall design
• Ideally Experience of Operational Technology network design
