Network Architect (10+ years)

Responsibilities:

• Design, define and evolve complex enterprise network architectures aligned with business and security requirements.
• Lead the design and implementation of secure, scalable, and highly available network infrastructures across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Architect and optimize solutions involving routing, switching, load balancing, firewalls, and secure connectivity.
• Provide technical leadership in projects involving multi-vendor network technologies, including Fortinet, F5, and Check Point platforms.
• Define network standards, best practices, and governance frameworks to ensure performance, resilience, and security.
• Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and cloud teams to integrate networking solutions with broader enterprise architectures.
• Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of complex network incidents and performance issues.
• Support cloud networking design and integration, particularly within AWS environments.
• Produce and maintain high-level and low-level network architecture documentation.
• Act as a technical reference and mentor for engineering and operations teams.

You must have:

• 10+ years of experience in network engineering and architecture roles.
• Proven experience designing and implementing large-scale, secure enterprise networks.
• Strong expertise in routing, switching, network security, and load balancing technologies.
• Hands-on experience with Fortinet, F5, and Check Point security and networking platforms.
• Solid experience with cloud networking, particularly within AWS environments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills in complex environments.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and communicate architectural decisions clearly.
• Strong documentation and technical communication skills.
• European Union Citizenship or Portuguese Working Visa / Portuguese Residency.
• Availability to go to the office, twice per week.
