Job Description
About The Role

Working Hours: 35 Hours Per Week (Mon Friday, office based four days a week, some ad hoc evening and weekend work.)

Contract Type: Full Time, Temporary (1 until May 2027, 1 until August 2027.)

Additional Payments: Casual Car Allowance

Closing Date: 29 April 2026

Legal Right to Work: Applicants must have existing right to work in the UK, as visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Responsibilities
  • Visiting residents to encourage access to important health provision
  • Working on safer streets, pedestrian and cycling projects
  • Working with communities to develop an urban community garden
  • Alleyway greening projects to reduce fly tipping and transform unused spaces
  • Developing a new vision for the future of district centres and high streets
  • Managing and developing neighbourhoods and responding to the needs of different places
  • Collaborating with other Council services, partner organisations and community groups
  • Creating and maintaining clean, safe, healthy and vibrant neighbourhoods that residents are proud of
Qualifications

You will be good at working with people, able to manage small projects, use your own initiative and have excellent communication and IT skills.
