National Account Manager

Imagine owning the full customer relationship for a portfolio of national accounts - from forecasting and pricing through to new business development - in an established FMCG food business that rewards the results you drive.

Our client, an established FMCG food business, is hiring a National Account Manager to develop and manage a portfolio of customer accounts. You'll own the relationship end to end - protecting existing sales, driving new business, and working closely with supply chain, finance and NPD teams to deliver an excellent customer experience. You'll join a close-knit commercial team, reporting to the Head of Sales & Business Development.

What You'll Be Working On

• Own sales revenue and profitability targets for your accounts.
• Forecast product requirements with supply chain and keep projections up to date.
• Manage customer inquiries, pricing, quotations and credit risk.
• Build strong customer relationships and identify new opportunities.
• Run quarterly sales reviews and manage project/product development with internal teams.
• Oversee inventory and stock arrangements for your customer remit.
• Develop new business aligned to the sales growth strategy.

Requirements

• 5+ years' account management experience in FMCG, ideally food ingredients manufacturing with B2B customers.
• Strong knowledge of FMCG business practices; food service and retail experience welcomed alongside B2B.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with confident negotiation ability.
• Proficiency in Excel and comfortable working with CRM systems and self-generated reporting.
• Ability to multitask, work to tight deadlines and use initiative.
• Organised, strong with administration, and able to take ownership and meet deadlines.
• Full eligibility to work in Ireland.
