Music Teacher (Permanent)

Cambridgeshire Start Date: September 2026 Contract: Full Time, Permanent Salary: £33,000 - £45,000 (depending on experience)

REED Education is delighted to be working in partnership with an Ofsted-rated 'Outstanding' secondary school in Cambridgeshire to recruit a talented and enthusiastic Music Teacher for a full-time, permanent role starting September 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-achieving school with a strong commitment to the arts, excellent facilities, and a supportive leadership team that values creativity and staff development.

The Role:

  • Deliver high-quality Music lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable but not essential)
  • Inspire a love of music through performance, composition, and listening
  • Teach a range of musical styles and support instrumental and vocal development
  • Plan, assess, and adapt lessons to meet the needs of students of varying abilities
  • Contribute to a collaborative and creative Music department
  • Support and, where appropriate, contribute to extracurricular activities such as ensembles, concerts, or school productions
  • Play an active role in the wider life of the school

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Ideally QTS (or working towards it), though strong unqualified teachers will be considered
  • Passionate about Music education and inspiring young musicians
  • Confident classroom and practical teaching skills
  • Strong organisation, communication, and behaviour management
  • Committed to high standards and student progress
  • ECTs and experienced teachers are encouraged to apply
