Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging and well-structured Music lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 desirable)
• Inspire a passion for music through performance, composition, and listening activities
• Monitor, assess, and report on student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback
• Contribute to curriculum development and share best practice within the Music department
• Support and promote extracurricular music opportunities such as ensembles, concerts, or school productions

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
• Experience teaching Music in a UK secondary school
• Strong subject knowledge across performance, composition, and music theory
• Effective classroom management and a commitment to maintaining high standards
• A passion for inspiring young people and contributing positively to school culture
