Salary: €40,000 - €55,000 DOE
Hours: Monday to Friday - 8:30- 17:00
Multimodal Freight Coordinator OverviewMy client is a leading logistics and freight forwarding provider delivering tailored transport and supply chain solutions across global markets. They pride themselves on offering reliable, efficient, and customer-focused services across air, sea, and road freight operations.
Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced and proactive Multimodal Freight Coordinator to join their freight forwarding team in Dublin.
As an Operations Coordinator, you will play a key role in managing international and domestic freight movements across air, sea, and road transport. You will be responsible for overseeing shipments from collection through to final delivery, ensuring smooth operations and exceptional customer service throughout the process.
Multimodal Freight Coordinator Responsibilities- Coordinate and manage air, sea, and road freight shipments from origin through to final delivery.
- Handle customs clearance procedures and ensure compliance with all import and export regulations.
- Liaise with customers, shipping lines, airlines, hauliers, customs authorities, and overseas agents.
- Prepare and process shipping, customs, and transport documentation accurately and efficiently.
- Monitor shipment progress and proactively resolve any operational issues.
- Provide customers with shipment updates, routing information, and logistical support.
- Prepare and issue freight and logistics quotations.
- Process customer invoicing accurately and in a timely manner.
- Accrue supplier and operational costs within internal systems.
- Process and submit supplier invoices for payment approval.
- Maintain accurate operational records, job costing, and billing information.
- Work closely with global partner networks to maintain high service standards.
- Identify cost-effective and efficient transport solutions while meeting customer requirements.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and industry regulations.
- Support KPI achievement relating to service performance, operational efficiency, and cost control.
- Assist with additional operational and administrative duties as required.
- Minimum 3 years' experience within freight forwarding and customs clearance operations.
- Hands on experience coordinating air, sea, and road freight movements.
- Strong understanding of Irish, UK, European, and international freight operations.
- Knowledge of import/export customs procedures and shipping documentation.
- Experience preparing customer quotations, invoicing, and cost management.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast paced environment.
- Experience dealing directly with customs authorities and compliance procedures.
- Previous experience using IFMS freight management systems.
- Previous experience using Thyme IT systems.
