About The Role

What You'll Do

• Support the production of music, entertainment and human interest content that captivates Today FM listeners.
• Assist in researching and developing bold, original ideas for on air and digital platforms.
• Research, book talent and write briefs for presenters and guests.
• Use audio and video editing skills to produce standout entertainment moments.
• Collaborate with the team to create compelling content that resonates with the audience.
• Learn and handle in studio operations, managing audience communication, mastering desk setups, audio playout systems and production tools such as Adobe Audition, GSelector and Zetta.
• Experiment with AI driven tools to enhance live and on demand content.
• Pitch ideas for daily content and contribute to station wide campaigns.
• Transform audio content into captivating visuals for Today FM's digital platforms.
• Work flexibly, including out of hours and weekend shifts, to meet live broadcast and event demands.

What You'll Have

• Experience in radio broadcasting, podcasting, content creation or music streaming.
• Confidence as an audio editor with proficiency in industry standard tools.
• Interest in pop culture, music, entertainment, current affairs and human interest stories.
• Comfortable and confident on air presence.
• Ability to learn and understand broadcast regulation, including legal and libel.
• Eager to innovate and explore AI and cutting edge tools.
• Organised, detail oriented and able to multi task in a fast paced environment.
• Creative flair and a big picture mindset to capture people's attention.
• Strong planning, organising skills and readiness to support colleagues.
• Ability to decide quickly when necessary and resilience to challenge oneself and be challenged.
