Canterbury - covering the South East region
Salary: £37,358 - £39,324 per year
Hours: 40 hours per week - Monday to Friday - 8:00am to 5:00pm

About the RoleWe have an opportunity for a Multi-Trade Operative to join our team based in Canterbury. In this role you will be working in a team of 20, mostly lone working with team working opportunities. Tasks include installing new windows, doors, kitchens, bathrooms and general repairs where required. You will cover all aspects of building repairs and maintenance and will be provided with a company van and tools. The role covers surrounding areas.
Responsibilities- Carrying out construction, fault fixing and maintenance duties in accordance with contract and service specifications
- Providing accurate and timely information on progress and advice that is easily understood by the customer and ensure accurate daily work records are completed
- Responding positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery to meet customer expectations in accordance with contract and service specifications
- Resolving problems or setting in motion the means of resolution, ensuring customers are kept informed in line with agreed processes and within contract and service specifications
- Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and stocks are replenished as needed, in accordance with the agreed requisition procedures and budgets
- To ensure full compliance with Building Safety legislation, candidates must be qualified to or undertaking NVQ Level 2 in a core subject (carpentry, electrical). If Plumbing Level 3 is required, unvented G3 Certificate and Water Regulations (WRAS) are necessary. Candidates must bring the original certification verifying their qualifications; copies and CSCS cards will not be accepted.
- Recent experience of undertaking a similar role
- Working experience of analysing and diagnosing problems and implementing effective solutions
- Working knowledge of the application of Health and Safety legislation
- PC literacy and ability to use and update computerised systems (including PDA) for work scheduling
- Driving on company business requires a full valid UK driving licence

- Salary of £37,358 per annum (rising to £39,324 per annum after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)
