Job Description

Job Title: Multi Trade Operative

Contract Type: Permanent

Salary: £39,080.97 per annum

Working Hours: 40 hours per week, full time

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday

Location: Dartford, Kent

We are looking for an experienced Multi Trade Operative (Plumbing/Carpentry) to carry out general multi trade works for planned maintenance upgrades, including kitchens and bathrooms. Sites will be mainly customers' properties across the organisation. The successful candidate will receive a van, fuel card and all PPE.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out general multi trade activities including painting, decorating, tiling, plastering, routine carpentry and plumbing tasks in accordance with performance specifications.
  • Ensure works comply with Building Regulations Approved Documents and the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
  • Work flexibly as part of a team to deliver annual component replacement targets.
  • Place and manage jobs via One Serve, meeting system requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain, replenish and keep records of materials issued for van stock on One Serve.
  • Follow Health and Safety procedures and processes at all times, ensuring responsibilities are understood and communicated.
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service standards and a proactive work ethic to avoid complaints.
  • Carry out other duties as deemed necessary by the line manager, with full training and supervision where required.
  • Comply with Equal Opportunities, Diversity, and the data protection act.
  • Perform any other reasonable duties as required.
Person Specification Essential
  • Experience within the construction sector.
  • Good understanding of legislation in maintenance and property management.
  • Good standard of education.
  • Good customer service skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Self motivated, assertive and confident.
Desirable
  • Proven track record of problem solving, identifying and resolving issues promptly.
  • Resilience and readiness to take responsibility.
  • Housing and/or buildings knowledge.
  • NVQ 2 or NVQ 3 qualifications in painting and decorating, plastering, and/or tiling.
