About the role

We're looking for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join CHEP - the global leader in sustainable pallet, crate, and container pooling. Based on-site in Zevenaar , you'll provide both production equipment maintenance and facility maintenance to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations.

In this varied technical role, you'll diagnose faults, prevent downtime, maintain building infrastructure, and support the installation of new equipment as we expand our machine park.

What you'll do

Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues on production equipment
Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance to minimise downtime
Perform facilities and building maintenance , including plumbing, carpentry, and structural repairs
Plan and complete tasks using the CMMS
Ensure full compliance with company health & safety procedures
Support the installation, commissioning, and long-term maintenance of new production machinery
Proactively identify improvements to increase reliability and reduce recurring issues

What we need from you

MBO 2 or 3 minimum requirement in Electrical/Mechanical or Mechatronics.
Strong commitment to safe working practices
Technical expertise in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting
Familiarity with CMMS systems (or readiness to learn)
Independent, proactive mindset with strong problem-solving skills
Ability to take ownership of tasks and work with minimal supervision
