Job Description
Overview

We are looking to appoint an Administrative Assistant to work for the Mental Health Research for innovation Centre (M-RIC) which is part of the university Centre; Civic Health Innovation Labs (CHIL).

M-RIC is an ambitious programme of work jointly delivered between University of Liverpool and Mersey care NHS Foundation Trust (MCFT). It has wide reaching benefits to the region whilst raising the profile of all partners as leaders in Mental Health Innovation.

Responsibilities

The role involves responsibilities across financial management, PPIE support, administrative tasks, and stakeholder engagement. Key duties include:

  • Confidently monitor and manage financial processes, transactions and invoicing.
  • Work closely with the PPIE and central teams to support and manage the significant PPIE payment processes.
  • Provide excellent administrative support to the programme team.
  • Work effectively both within a team and independently, with an ability to prioritise their own workload.
  • Have excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Professionally liaise with cross organisational researchers, clinicians, operational staff, partners and external partners and stakeholders.

You will be expected to ensure the provision of comprehensive, effective and efficient financial and administrative support to the M-RIC Principal Investigator, CHIL Head of Research Programmes, the M-RIC Programme Manager and the wider management and research team.

Employment Details

The post is available until the 31 December 2027 with hybrid/flexible working. The university operates a hybrid work environment for staff, with a current requirement for a minimum of 40% of working time on campus, depending on business needs. When in the office, the role will be based in the Liverpool Science Park.
