Skilled Motor Vehicle Mechanic - Join Our Workshop Team
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Automotive Mechanic to join our busy workshop team. This role requires a professional who is proficient in complex diagnostics, maintenance, and major mechanical repairs, ensuring all work meets rigorous quality and time standards.
Core Responsibilities
Advanced Repairs: Confidently perform and complete complex mechanical repairs, including:
Clutch replacements
Cylinder head gasket repairs
Timing belts, chains, and wet belts
Diagnostics & Troubleshooting: Accurately diagnose and address mechanical and electrical issues in a wide range of vehicles.
Routine Maintenance: Perform comprehensive routine maintenance tasks and services.
Inspections: Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to proactively identify potential problems and recommend necessary repairs.
Parts Management: Repair and replace faulty parts and components efficiently and correctly.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and organised records of all maintenance and repairs performed.
Time Management: Must be able to confidently work in line with Autodata repair time standards to ensure efficiency and timely service delivery.
Working Hours
Monday - Friday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Saturdays: Alternate Saturdays are required.
Requirements & SkillsEssential Requirements:
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic.
License: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Key Skills:
Technical Proficiency: Expert proficiency in mechanical diagnostics and troubleshooting.
Knowledge Base: Strong knowledge of complex automotive systems and components.
Efficiency: Excellent attention to detail and strong time management skills, especially adhering to repair time schedules.
Teamwork: Ability to work effectively both independently on assigned tasks and collaboratively as part of a team.
