MOT Tester

Duties of the MOT Tester

• Conduct MOT tests in accordance with DVSA guidelines and issue certificates
• Perform vehicle servicing, repairs, and fault diagnosis efficiently and accurately
• Maintain comprehensive records of all tests and repairs
• Advise customers on repair work and future maintenance requirements
• Keep up to date with changes in MOT regulations and vehicle technology
• Complete all work within set timeframes, adhering to health and safety standards
• Assist with vehicle inspections and provide expert mechanical and electrical advice as an MOT Tester
• Ensure quality workmanship and excellent customer service at all times

Requirements

• MOT Class 4 qualification and Level 3 automotive qualification or equivalent
• Proven experience as a vehicle technician with relevant MOT testing experience preferred
• Sound mechanical knowledge and diagnostic skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities
• Good communication skills and a professional approach to customer service
• Full, clean UK driving licence
• Proactive team player capable of working independently
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively
