About the Role
As Student Accommodation Mobilisation Manager, you will lead the successful launch of new student accommodation properties across the UK and Europe.
You ensure that each property is fully operational, compliant, and ready to welcome students by coordinating pre-opening activities and working closely with developers, operational teams, and stakeholders.
Aufgaben
Documentation and Reporting:
- Develop and execute mobilisation plans for new student accommodation projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and operational standards are adhered to.
- Coordinate with property developers, contractors, and operations teams to ensure smooth transitions from construction completion to operational launch.
- Monitor construction and handover schedules, ensuring all works are completed to a high standard and on time.
Team Management & Training:
- Support the recruitment, onboarding and initial training of site teams, including reception, maintenance, and cleaning staff, ensuring they are fully prepared for opening.
- Provide leadership and direction to on-site staff to meet performance standards and deliver exceptional student experience.
- Collaborate with HR to ensure compliance with local labour laws and employment practices.
Operational Readiness:
- Systems implementation (PMS, access control, booking systems)
- Ensure all health & safety, fire safety, and legal compliance checks are completed before opening.
- Oversee the installation and testing of critical systems (e.g., security, IT, utilities) to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Implement key processes for inventory management, vendor setup, and procurement to ensure all necessary supplies and equipment are in place.
Stakeholder Communication:
- Act as the main point of contact between property owners, developers, and the operational team during mobilisation phases.
- Report regularly to senior management on project progress, highlighting risks, issues, and achievements.
- Liaise with marketing, sales, and reservations teams to ensure coordinated efforts for the property launch.
Financial & Budgetary Oversight:
- Manage mobilisation budgets, ensuring cost control and efficient allocation of resources.
- Prepare and present financial reports related to mobilisation expenses, tracking against budgetary targets.
Risk & Issue Management:
- Identify potential risks related to mobilisation activities and develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure prompt resolution of operational challenges during the mobilisation phase.
Post-Launch Handover:
- Work with the operations team to facilitate the smooth transition from mobilisation to steady-state operation.
- Conduct post-launch reviews to identify lessons learned and opportunities for improvement in future mobilisation projects.
Profil
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Hospitality, Real Estate, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in student accommodation, property management, hospitality, or a similar sector
- Experience managing property openings or mobilisation projects is a strong advantage
- Strong organisational and project management skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Willingness to travel approximately 20-30% across the UK and Europe
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and project management tools
