Mobile Threat to Aerospace Operations (TTAO) Technician Assistant

SAIC is seeking a Mobile TTAO Technician Assistant to support the US Air Force Collaborative Operations for Battlespace Resilient Architecture (COBRA) program at Remote Radar Head (RRH) Staxton Wold (Scarborough), UK.

(This position requires a Secret Clearance; target salary is $60k)

COBRA provides for the implementation, integration, development, and delivery of training and technology solutions to support the US Air Force, Department of Defense, and mission partner multi-domain operations (MDO) within the Joint All-Domain Command and Control (JADC2) strategy.

Overview:

The Mobile TTAO Technician Assistant supports the preparation, movement, and setup of mobile electronic warfare (EW) mission systems used for Threat to Air Operations (TTAO) training. This role assists in ensuring mobile equipment is safely loaded, transported, positioned, and configured at designated operating locations in accordance with mission schedules. provides advanced technicalexpertisein the operation, maintenance, calibration, and employment of electronic warfare (EW) mission systems and threat simulators to deliver realistic TTAO training for U.S. and NATO aircrews. TheTTAO Technicianapplies specialized knowledge of EW tactics,radartheory, and system integration to replicate adversary capabilities and support mission learningobjectivesin live, mobile, and Live-Synthetic-Blended (LSB) environments.

The Mobile TTAO Technician Assistant will:

• Assist in preparing mobile mission systems and associated equipment for safe transportation to and from operating locations as directed by the daily mission schedule

• Operate, configure, andmaintainfixed, mobile, and man-portable EW mission systems, including threat emitters,surface-to-air missilesimulators,pyrotechnicdevices,radar systems,decoys,and associated equipment.

• Repair,modify, and calibrateEWmissionsystems and their componentsto ensure system readiness and mission effectiveness.

• Conduct operational and technical evaluation ofEWmission system performance, troubleshoot deficiencies, and implement corrective actions.

• Develop, implement, andmaintaintraining programs to ensure techniciansattainand maintain required equipmentproficiencyand combat application knowledge.

• Support deployment, setup, teardown, and transport ofEWmission systems for local and TDY assignments, ensuring compliance with technical orders and safety standards.

• Integrate EW systems into LSB training environments, applying current tactics and operational procedures to enhance aircrew survivability.

• Maintain current qualifications and documentationin accordance withtechnical equipmentmanualrequirements, technical orders, commercial manuals, and local-nationregulations.

• Maintain familiarity with evolving U.S., NATO, and adversary force capabilities and tactics, adapting system configurations for realistic training scenarios.

• Ensure compliance with U.S. government regulations, safety standards, and quality assurance requirements during high-tempo field operations and TDY assignments.

• Plan, direct and execute, prepare mobile mission systems and associated equipment for safe transportation to and from operating locations as directed by the daily mission schedule

• Support loading, unloading, downloading, bracing, tearing down, packing, assembling, and reassembling mobile EW equipment

• Follow all applicable Technical Orders (TOs) and procedures

• Drive mobile mission-system equipment to and from designated operating locations in support of mission execution. This requires holding an EU/UK Commercial Driver's License equivalent.

• Assist in setting up and securing systems to ensure safe and accurate system operation

• Maintain accountability of equipment during transport and on-site operations

• Ensure compliance with applicable safety requirements, transportation regulations, and mission-system handling standards

• Participate in formal/informal training events as required/directed to maintain tactical/technical skills.

• Contract position will support any additional related duties as required

Qualifications Required Experience/Qualifications

• Bachelor's and zero (0) or 2+ years of experience in mobile operations, equipment handling, electronic warfare systems support, transportation, or similar technical roles in lieu of degree.

• Ability to safely load, secure, transport, and position equipment in accordance with Technical Orders (TOs) and published procedures

• Experience assembling, disassembling, packing, or preparing technical or mechanical equipment for field operations

• Ability to safely operate vehicles used for transporting mobile mission equipment (valid driver's license required)

• Strong understanding of equipment handling safety practices, including lifting, securing, and bracing procedures

• Ability to follow detailed written instructions, technical manuals, and TO-directed processes

• Ability to travel within the USAFE-AFAFRICA area of responsibility

• US Citizen and active U.S. Secret security clearance and be eligible for NATO Secret indoctrination.

Desired Experience/Qualifications:

• Prior experience supporting U.S. Air Force, Department of Defense (DoD), or electronic warfare training environments

• Familiarity with mobile electronic warfare systems, threat emitters, or Training Tactics and Operations (TTAO) mission support

• Experience working with Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract requirements, Technical Orders (TOs), or similar structured documentation

• Experience working in field conditions or remote operating locations

• Experience working in a multinational, Joint, or Coalition training environment
