Job Description

Post Title: Mobile School Cook
Location: Trust schools across Bury and Rochdale
Salary: Grade 3 scp 5 6 Actual Salary £17,538 - £17,816 (£25,583 - £25,989 FTE)
Term of Contract: Permanent
Working Pattern: Term Time Only
Hours per week: 30 hours per week
Start date: September 2026
Closing date: 29th June 2026

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook food in accordance with menus.
  • Ensure food hygiene and health and safety regulations are adhered to.
  • Assist in organising on site or transported meal service.
  • Perform general kitchen and dining room duties (washing up, setting up and clearing away equipment and tables).
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and housekeeping.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Team player with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
  • Experience in catering or kitchen environments.
  • Ability to travel to different trust schools each day.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and hygienic workplace.
