Laois Hire is a leading plant and tool hire company in Ireland that provides a comprehensive range of services from tool and plant machinery to highly specialised equipment. We have a new opportunity for an enthusiastic and driven Mobile Generator Fitter to join our team in Portlaoise.

In this role you will be:

• Performing servicing and repairs on rental equipment both on-site and at the depot.
• Preparing machinery and equipment for hire, ensuring operational readiness.
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults on generators and pumps.
• Conducting testing on generators to verify performance and reliability.
• Support depot operations by providing technical expertise and engineering assistance.

What will help you to excel in this role:

• Relevant technical qualification
• Previous experience working on generators and pumps.
• Good understanding of hydraulic, mechanical and electrical principles
• The ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Good communication skills
