Mobile Gas Engineer

We are recruiting for an experienced Mobile Commercial Gas Engineer to join a leading facilities management provider working on a long-term public sector contract.

This is a mobile field-based role covering South London, responsible for delivering planned maintenance and reactive repairs across a high-volume of sites.

You will be working on a critical public sector contract supporting multiple sites, each with commercial kitchens, dormitories, and associated building services infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Service, maintain, and repair commercial gas systems
• Fault-find and diagnose breakdowns across gas plant and heating systems
• Work on boilers, water heaters, pipework, gas air heaters, and radiant tube heaters
• Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works
• Carry out minor installation and remedial works
• Produce technical reports, job sheets, and compliance documentation
• Identify and quote for remedial works and lifecycle replacements
• Ensure all work complies with Gas Safe regulations, RAMS, and H&S standards
• Liaise with contract teams and client representatives

Candidate Requirements

Essential

• Commercial Gas qualifications (Gas Safe registered)
• Strong background in gas servicing, maintenance, and fault-finding
• Experience in building services or FM environments
• Full UK driving licence

Highly Desirable

• Experience working on public sector or critical infrastructure contracts
• Multi-skilled background (mechanical / electrical awareness)
• Experience working with high-volume PPM/reactive workloads
• Strong reporting and client-facing communication skills
