We are seeking a Mobile Device Specialist to manage the provisioning, configuration, security, and life cycle of enterprise mobile devices, including smartphones, tablets, and hotspots. This role ensures mobile endpoints operate efficiently, remain compliant with organisational security standards, and integrate seamlessly into the enterprise IT environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesDevice Provisioning & Configuration
- Enroll, configure, and deploy mobile devices for users.
- Manage mobile profiles, application deployment, and OS updates in collaboration with the MDM Administrator.
- Support integration with Apple Business Manager (ABM) and Android Enterprise.
- Maintain accurate inventory records of mobile devices.
Security & Compliance
- Enforce mobile security policies (passwords, encryption, remote wipe).
- Monitor and remediate security vulnerabilities in coordination with cybersecurity teams.
- Ensure compliance with mobility standards and security guidelines.
Support & Troubleshooting
- Provide Tier 2-3 technical support for mobile device issues.
- Coordinate with vendors for repairs, replacements, or warranty claims.
- Serve as a Purebred Agent for identity and access management.
Lifecycle Management & Documentation
- Track inventory, life cycle status, and usage metrics.
- Support procurement and decommissioning processes.
- Maintain updated documentation on configurations, policies, and procedures.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in IT or related field (Bachelor's preferred).
- 2-4 years of experience with MDM solutions in an enterprise environment.
- Familiarity with mobile security standards.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise MDM tools (Microsoft Intune, MobileIron, VMware Workspace ONE).
Certifications
- Vendor-specific MDM certifications (Intune, MobileIron, Apple Certified iOS Technician) preferred.
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent strongly recommended.
